| Guide
to a Polocrosse Tournament Weekend
KTPC
Selection Process
· The Selection Committee comprises of Sharon Kennedy, Penny Hillier
and Jason Webb.
· Each player has a handicap of 0-10. The sum of the players' handicaps
makes a total for the team. This total will then determine whether your
team plays in A, B, C, D or E grade. Juniors (U16) and Primary Juniors
(U12) have their teams based on age only. You will usually be playing
with and against players of a very similar standard.
· Please let the S.C. know AT LEAST TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE of a tournament
if you wish to play.
· If circumstances force you to withdraw from the tournament, let
the S.C. know AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, then we have a chance of rearranging
teams successfully.
· You must be a member of the UKPA to play in a tournament for
insurance purposes. We recommend you have your own horse and personal
accident insurance as well.

Tournament
Set-up
· The 'campsite' will usually comprise of port-a-loos, portable
showers and a pretty basic barn to party in - prepare to slum it!
· Horses must be penned in electric fencing - please make sure
it works and that your horse is used to it!
· There is usually a catering van on-site and an evening meal on
Saturday night - all tournaments are different, there will be copies of
the tournament details on the notice board at Risebridge.
· Paramedics are always on-site during hours of play.
· Vets and farriers are usually on call.
· You are usually expected to clean out your horse pens, so bring
a shovel with you!
Horse
Welfare
